11th of March 2004 My mum has just lost her mind my best friend
laura got mum to buy her one of those mouse things that humans like to keep in a cage it is a lovely colour just like toffee
but it sure does drive us lot around the bend we all thought that mum had been getting us some fast food as we all need the
exercise with mum feeding us so well all the time but they will not let us get a hold of the golden ball of fluff we can't
even go to Laura's bed room any more which makes me so mad as laura is my best friend and i always sleep on her bed but she
has not let me in since this golden ball thing came i only want to play with it. The other night my laura put the golden ball
thing into a big plastic ball and it was running all around the house i was sitting watching thinking my time will come and
it ran right into sootys legs well he went up in the air with such a fright the others thought it was very funny and tasha
went running after him to find out what had happened he had got such a fright that he went under mums bed clothes and he just
would not come out even for his tea mum did laugh at him and so did us lot we can't wait to tell the barn gang about
sooty been frightened by moving fast food it's funny but he will not come into the front room any more mum said he is very
silly as he is missing out on his nightly hugs on her lap i just thick he is mad been scared of a mouse as he always like
to act like the hard man around here it just goes to show how wrong you can be.............................................................................

Toffee hear with some more short story's
i was doing my usual rounds keeping my eyes on what was
going on in the garden as mum was very busy putting the washing out and of course carla was playing her up by trying to get
the clothes back of the line and very time poor mum chased her away she would just sit under the big tree and then run like
mad to swat anything hanging down mind you i don't think mum minds much as i have seen funny water come from her eyes and
she would be laughing so much she would say oh my tummy hurts
mum had finished putting the clothes out and in she went
which carla was not very happy about as it meant no more things in reach so carla thought she would take her normal nap under
the tree she was just getting into sleep when i came along and was wondering what the big spiky thing was lying next to her
of course carla thought i wanted to play roll around the garden and she jumped up to swat at me only to fall back on the spiky
thing i have never seen carla jump so high in all my life she almost made it to the top of the tree after about 10 minutes
she thought she would come down to see what had hurt her so myself and the other where all sitting watching this slow moving
thing heading for the gate to our garden by this time mum was sitting watching us from the kitchen window and i think
she must have been worried about the spiky thing getting on to the road as she made a run for it well even i know that the
spiky thing will hurt you if you try to pick it up but no mum would insist on helping it to find another place to roam much
to carlas dislike i think carla must be very scared of dark brown spiky things as she went back in doors for a long rest and
she would just not come out to play any more but of course i am not scared of anything any way mum picked up the brown spiky
thing and i herd her say my goodness this is hurting my hand but dad just laughed and said well you should know better
and he is right she soon put it down i can tell you and i thought it was time to go see how my old friend the gold thing was
doing in the big pond i sat and watched it go around and around for ages and very now and again i would get very existed about
it coming to the top of the water but mum has covered the pound in a netting so we can not get them out to play any more which
is not fare as i used to have some much fun with my gold and silver friends i don't know sometimes mum can be no fun i was
wondering what sooty was up to as he was running around the cat holiday pen like a mad cat with it's tail on fire and lulu
and purdy were sitting watching all the fun well this little mouse came running start out from under the shed start into lulu
paws sooty was not very happy mind you mum was not happy with lulu as she tuck the little mouse start of her and she made
dad take us all in once again mum stopped our fun and games we where watching her trying to find a hide whole to put the mouse
in as we could go back out and we would find it easy but we will have to make sure mum does not catch us.
Mum came back
in and she would not let us go out which i thought was not fare but never mind and it is time for tea so we all drove mum
nuts until we got our food tash is so funny as she can never make her mind up which bowl she wants to eat from so we always
end up playing musical food well it's been a very long day for me so i guess it is time to have a nice long nap until the
next time bye for now

Hi it's been sometime since we made an entry in our cats diary sadly mum lost more then one of our
friends so it has been hard on her and i guess she did not feel like letting us write in our diary but she is feeling much
better now
i last told you about the gold things in the pond and i was worried about them getting wet well lulu my sister
tuck care of that mum was cleaning the pond out and she had removed the netting that stopped us from playing with them. so
lulu thought she would bring one into see us we where all gathered around the little gold thing and it kept jumping up we
have to say we found this very funny but then mum came in and caught us playing passy with it she was not very happy and she
tuck the gold thing off us she put it back in the pond and it looked as if it was going to be all right so that was the end
of that.
the weather over here in england is not to good at the moment so we have to spend most of the time in doors but
we do get out to play every day mum likes to put her washing out on the line and we love it to as it gives us something to
bat about and we can hear mum saying will you b****dy leave that line alone but we never do it is so much fun

wednesday 18th of september
Hi toffee here well i had such a fright to
day i even hit the window.
I was lying asleep on the window sill when something hit it and i just jumped in the air and
off i ran to hide under the bed clothes i stayed there for sometime i can tell ye. I have not found out what it was that hit
the window yet but i did here mum saying it was a little bird which made me feel silly if i had know that i would have just
went out side to find it, we have had a lot of fun things happen this week first we had a bat flying around mum's bed room
she locked us all out and we could hear her trying to get it out of the window don't know why she would not let us help the
weather has been ok but it is getting cold as mum had the fire on the other night and we all slept on the rug well, must be
off hope you all have a good day
wednesday 4th september
Hi all boy i just had to tell you all about
my time playing i was doing my usual thing when this big fat cat from the barn gang came up to me and started to walk around
and around me at first i thought oh no its going to kick my ass but to my surprise it just dropped to the fall and then rolled
on its back i did not know what to make of this big cat rolling around on the flour and i was not sure what it was doing so
i just backed off but it just kept rolling about by this time 3 of the other cats had came to see what was going on and they
like me just did not know what it make of it after sometime had gone by this big cat just sat there watching us doing our
thing playing running up and down and so on and it started to join in on the fun so we all thought wow we have a new friend
I heard mum say wonder where this cat had come from as we have not seen it before any way it was time for us to all go and
have tea and mum very kindly put some out for this new big cat. The next thing to happen was mum standing on the step out
side and yelling at dad get me a big box and be quick about it of course we all went out to see what was wrong. The big cat
had bust and their was about 4/5 little cats next to it. So mum put them in the box and brought the big cat in and she put
them in the kitten room so we now have more kittens and a new female cat to care for i don't know what it is about our mum
but all kinds of cats just seem to find her well mother and kittens are doing very well now as mum got the vet out to come
and see them she had 6 kittens all together so yipeeeeeee more fun for us
wednesday 21st of august
well, we all have to say a very big sorry
for not writing in our diary mum has been away for a few days. she said she needed the rest we sure did miss her though poppy
kept shouting of her all the time and sooty just slept which is nothing new for him but he did it a little more then he normally
does. Well, mum is home again and every one is so happy to see her misty is not talking to her right now but then she always
goes of in the huff if mum is gone glad she does not go that often. We have had some very nice warm weather so we have all
had lovely long lazy days in the sun and a lot of fun catching the fly's. It's funny seeing Suzy trying to catch fly's as
she is just to old these days Carla is the best one at catching thing's she once brought home a huge rat much to mums dislike
she said she got it from the barn gang they have been over here a lot lately i think mum is getting to found of them and lulu
just hates them they make her so mad that mum has to keep her in if they are around silly really as mum loves us all. The
new kittens are getting much more friendly now and people often come to see them but know new homes just yet I hope you all

We had some visitors come stay with us for a few days of course we made them feel all very welcome but i
think they did not like us sleeping on their bed so mum said we had to stay out of the bedrooms for a few days (which we did
not like at all) and it is just as well mum had a new flour put down so we could not click the carpet up as we all do this
if we cannot get into the bedrooms. Mum is good that way as she just makes the house more cat friendly. I think mum was a
bit upset with the guest's as she always says this house in maintained for the comfort of our cats if you don't like it well
don't come and i think she was just so glad when they left. i see mum has made some new friends and she has joined a new club
called fantasy fights and i know she is having fun. well, it is lulu and purdys birthday tomorrow and i know we will all get
a nice tea we may even get some cake they will be 5 years old tomorrow so i guess they will get lots of treats cuddles and
love but i won't let mum forget about me i may be new here but i do love to get hugs. I am settling in very nicely and i do
like all the other cats and they seem to like me some of them do hiss at me but i just pay no attention to them. I am just
so glad to have a loving home now. I will write again soon linus

wednesday 31st of july
Hi purdy here well the last few days we have
had rain thunder and lighting so nobody could go out and no body could use mums computer. I did not mind though as i love
to sleep in mums computer chair i always wait until she gets up and i jump right on it and most times mum will pick me up
and put me on the bed yuk i wish she would just let me have the chair.
Well, we all got to go out this morning as the rain
had stopped but the grass is still very wet and i hate getting my paws wet. Mum hate's it too as i always find something to
dry them on. I wanted to play with suzy but no she is getting to old and twisty to play these days (i hope i don't get
like that) so off i wet down the lane to find someone else to play with. Toffee thought he would follow me but i did not want
him to come with me as he always end's up running after me and i don't like it much so mum came and tuck him in i think he
had to go to the cat doctors any way to get back to me down the lane i went and i found carla down there playing in the grass
i don't know what she was playing with but it was giving her lots of fun i just sat and watched her for a few minuets and
then i thought it's time i played with it too but carla was not going to let me and she just went back home taking the play
thing as well.
So i thought i would just go home on my way i found a little green thing that was jumping up and down and
boy did it move i watched it for some time and then i thought i know i will play with it. It did not want to play but i did
every time i got close to it it would just jump up in the air and back down it would come. Lulu came to look at the green
thing and we both had a good time playing with it but it must have got tired as it jumped in to the big fish pond and we could
not find it again after that. So lulu and my self just went back home. I was getting very tired my self and i saw mum had
done at the computer so off i went to get some sleep you never know i might just dream off the green thing i do hope it will
come and play again some day
Well it's been a good day so far and i think
it's about time for tea i wonder what mum will make us today.
Lulu was not much fun today i thing she is just mad at me as she found
a little red ball and i just had to have it. Mum laughed at me as i was trying so hard to stop it running away and the
faster i went the faster it went. Are well time for my noon nap hope you all have a good day and come back soon

Hi this is my first day of doing my new diary
well so far i have done my sleeping and then mum got up and made my breakfast and i thought why not just grab another 40 min's
sleep. I got fed up with sleeping so i went out to see what i could find. The birds are all up early today i might try and
catch one. Well they where all to fast for me i know mum has a nice big fish pond i wonder what they are up to today the last
time i tuck one in for mum to have a look and she went nuts and i see she has put the new net over it she say's it so we don't
fall in but i think it's so we can't play with the little silver thing's but it is still just good fun to watch i can spend
many hours just watching the gold and silver thing's going around and around boy they must get sick of that. Oh well i guess
i will just have to find lulu and play with her but i guess we will just have to go in and play as it is raining mum keeps
saying why does it always rain here in england i just hope the gold thing's won't get wet.
monday 26th of august
Hi
to you all its been a good week for us. Mum got a stack of tuna handed in so we all had a lovely tea. The foster cats had
the same and so did the barn lot. My day was very funny i found a new friend. Mum said it was a rabbit. Well, it did not matter
to me what it was i was just so glad to find something new to play with. I sat and played with it for hours and boy it was
fun just running up and down the field and so one. Of course toffee and lulu just sat and watched us play. I think toffee
is to fat to be running around and he is very lazy too. I had to go in for my nap and when i came back out my new friend had
gone i looked for it for sometime but i just could not find it. Oh well maybe it will come back again someday. Toffee was
just sitting watching the gold and silver things in the pound and he finally caught one and tuck it in to mum. Mum went nuts
and ran back out side with it and put it back in the pound it seemed to be ok. And toffee got wrong for playing with them
and she made him stay in well, he should not go playing with them any ways. .................

saturday 10th august
Well, it's been a funny old week we had some nice
hot sun shine for the first few days but then it had to rain. My self and the other cats just don't like the rain and mum
got very wet as she had to see to some new cats that came in i think she said they were ragdolls they just look like cats
to me. She does spend a lot of time up there with them she said they need grooming every day i am glad i don't get groomed
every day as i would have no fur left and i would just have to fight mum i do love a good roll about with the brush and it
always makes mum laugh. We found another frog today in the wet grass it is so much fun just watching it jump up and
down but of course toffee want's to eat it so mum tuck him in. He was not very happy about been taken in and he just
sat by the window looking at us all having fun (well silly boy he should learn) i have been spending a lot of my time over
the barns with the wild gang i keep telling them to just move in our place but they seem to like it were they are but they
are always in our passage at winter time and mum feeds them all the time i do have fun with the barn lot and they do love
to play well i guess it's time for my nap so i will say bye for now and i hope you all have a very nice day poppy

sunday 28th of july
Hi to you all my day has stated well mum was
having a ham sandwich and she left it on the side of the table so i was up like a shot and i had that away (well i do love
my ham and she always gives me it anyway) The others where all going nuts for some but i would not share it. So mum gave every
one some.
I went out side and we had visitors from the barn i don't like them coming over here as they don't live here.
I like to run after them and make them go back to the barn mum says i am not very nice to them as i am luck to have a home.
I guess she is right. I had to go in so mum could feed the barn lot boy they take a long time to eat there breakfast i wanted
to get back out side and play but mum would not let me go until they had gone (i might stop running after them if mum is going
to make me stay in like this) I could see toffee and linus out side playing by the big fish pond and i was keen to find out
what they where doing. The barn lot had gone so mum let me out and i had to go see what toffee and linus was up to. when i
got there linus had gone and only toffee was left he was just sitting watching the silver and gold things going around and
around he love to do that i guess he wishes they would come out and play. I don't bother them much. I found him very boring
so i went to see what the others where doing most of them where sleeping "lazy" i wanted to play but my sister purdy was not
having any of it and she chased me away i will just have to find something i can do on my own i know i am off to have a nice
long nap and maybe when i wake up every one will come and play

Friday 26th july 2002
Hi my name is suzy and i am the oldest member
of the cat gang i am 18 years old.
To day has been a funny old day after my long nap i went out side to
see who was around and to my surprise i found this little ball of spikes. I was very interested in it as every time i looked
away it moved i tried to move it with my paw but boy it did hurt. I could see mum and the other cats all sitting watching
me from the kitchen window and they were all laughing but i was just so interested in this thing i was not bothered about
what they were doing.
After about an hour or two i fell asleep (well it's my age) and when
i woke up the spiky thing had gone. It did not take me long to find it again it had only moved up the garden and under the
tree. By this time the other cats were all out playing there silly games and i did not want them to find my spiky friend so
i kept chasing them away and for a cat of my age this is not that easy i can tell you. With me been so busy chasing the others
away from my friend i lost him i tried to find him all day but no luck. Mum came out and she could not find my spiky friend
so she said never mind suzy come on in and have your tea i had tuna and chicken my favourite. Well its time for my bed now
as i need my sleep hope every one has a good day
